Cancer ranks second in the list of mortality causes in Ukraine, but it is undoubtedly the most insidious. In most cases, cancer remains asymptomatic for a long time. Symptoms begin to appear at later stages, when the chances of a quick recovery significantly decrease.
Consider this: approximately 120,000 Ukrainians receive a cancer diagnosis annually, and about 44% of patients (53,000) die, according to the latest data from the cancer registry of Ukraine.
How can we change this situation?
The foundation for successful treatment of oncological diseases lies in detecting malignant growths at early stages, making the correct diagnosis, and monitoring the course of the disease.
What are we raising funds for?
The digital scanner is designed for scanning, storing, and processing histological samples, as well as for new technology implementation.
Goal: to implement a modern level of cancer diagnostics in Ukraine.
Recently, the method of digital pathology has already been instrumental in combating oncology in the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, and European countries.
